When I retired from General Practice in 2010 I took out a large sum from my pension & also received a large sum from the sale of my share of the Practice premises. I sought financial advice with respect to investing the total sum.

Upon my retirement from General Practice 12 years ago I had a large lump sum and money from the sale of my practice share that I wanted to invest.

Bodie replaced my financial advisor 2 years ago after his retirement from the same company.At our first meeting with him at our home, my wife and I were very impressed with him and confident that we would continue to receive excellent financial advice. He suggested different approaches and different products to suit our needs and found exactly the right product for us at the best possible price. Yes, thanks to Bodie, we have achieved all our objectives for a cheaper price than we expected. He found and facilitated both life insurance policies and pensions for us. We were so impressed with him and his service that we called him back to arrange our mortgage. Again, he has listened to what we want, our budget, our long term aim and has provided some fantastic advice, thinking outside the box and looking at alternative options. He has then found the perfect mortgage deal for us, which he is now arranging. Once again, very impressed.

Bodie explained the process to me in a very patient and understandable manner. I was able to ask questions and I could see that my interests were being put first.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Too early to say yet investment funds are in the process of being set up. So far so good then is the main message.

What could they have done better?

Being very picky (as you can see I've given a 5 star rating so far) - maybe to carry out a follow up review say a month after the pension was transferred out to go over any questions etc.

We wanted to ensure that if anything happened to either my husband or myself then our family needed to be protected.

He took a long time finding out the cover we needed as well as matching it to our budget. He was also able to arrange his meetings around us as he was aware that we both worked.
