What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had not been putting money into my pension for over 10 years and wanted to start up again. I also wanted to find out about inheritance tax for my daughter in case anything happened to me.

How has Tom Collins helped you?

Tom listened carefully to my lifestyle and what my expectations for the future are. He offered non judgemental advice on both my pension options and on how my daughter can be provided for in the future.

I needed to look at my pension and work out how to make the most of what I have but then it became clear he could help in lots of different ways, especially with the mortgage concerns and issues to do with life assurance

How has Tom Collins helped you?

First of all he put my mind at rest, and then he gave me perspective. He is only encouraging and never pushy, and fully understands my attitudes to risk. He has been unfailing professional whilst being able to explain things to me clearly and in clear language that a non-financial person can follow.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking to rationalise various small stakeholder pensions accumulated over the years and to get the money working harder for me as I roll into the last 8 to 10 years of my working life.

How has Tom Collins helped you?

Tom advised me on the best way to do that, discussed risk with me and helped move everything across seamlessly. He was also very generous on broader advice relating to my financial wellbeing. He was personable throughout, listening really well and offering very relevant support and advice. Really gave me confidence.

Yes - everything is now in one place and I feel confident that I will see the financial benefits soon too as well as the administrative ones which are already in place.

After a divorce I had a lump sump of my ex spouse’s pension that I needed advice on how to make this money work for me .

I was losing money investing on my own and my friend recommending Tom.

Massively, helped me set up a private pension. I also set up an ISA account through Tom and now have a very diverse portfolio managed. I now have confidence that my money is working for me and I don't have to worry about checking every day!

I have already started seeing returns on my pension and it's too early to tell with the ISA.
