I got a next working day response to my initial enquiry which led to a very useful phone call a few days later. Giles is friendly, knowledgeable and I got several ideas and useful bits of insight from the call. We concluded it isn't quite the right time for me to do the full new client on boarding and there was no pushy sales tactics about that.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed someone with a great financial knowledge and someone trustworthy who could help and guide me with my pension funds and my savings

How has Giles Warren helped you?

Giles and Amanda have been brilliant from the start. My knowledge of the financial world was very limited but Giles simplified things into layman terms. He has helped investing my pensions under one umbrella and helped invest my money reserves. He also recommended we complete our Wills and helped accordingly. One thing we hadn't thought about was Power of Attorney but these have since been completed.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Both my pension plan and investments have seen really good returns financially thanks to Giles's knowledge and expertise. We feel more secure with our Wills and Power of Attorney now in place

What could they have done better?

Giles has been excellent throughout. With Amanda's help any questions or queries we had were answered quickly and efficiently

I had been with my financial advisors for over 20 years but decided to make a change. I was introduced to Giles Warren by a very reliable third party.

How has Giles Warren helped you?

From the beginning Giles exuded professionalism and was clearly well informed. I was very impressed by his close personal attention to my requirements. He responded to all my questions in a timely and comprehensive manner. He orchestrated the handover of my investments quickly and efficiently. He was able to satisfy my very specific reporting requirements. Although it is early days the new portfolio is doing well in these challenging financial times.

Early days but so far I am very satisfied.

There were one or two minor issues of little or no consequence which were quickly resolved so overall I am very pleased

I was originally the Lasting Power of Attorney for my mother, once I sold the bungalow and moved her to a Care Home I needed advise on how to make the money work for the length of time mum was going to be in the Care Home. Now I have advise for my own finances.

We have stopped referring business to them on the back of this and sorry we were unable to get them to respond quicker. How has Giles Warren helped you?

Giles arranged Due Diligence and the consolidation of different pension pots into one SIPP scheme. He also set up a separate platform for a JISA.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Investments have performed as desired and are competitive compared to the marketplace

What could they have done better?

JISA took longer than expected to set up but I appreciate that Giles Warren was subject to delays in obtaining information from the bank and that this is not his usual expertise.

Over the years Giles has offered advice on mortgages and pensions. Due to the good service in the past I trusted his advice when I needed to consolidate a number of individual pensions into one.

Giles guided me in my choice of options. His advice was impartial and he offered advice on options that were of no personal benefit to him. I did not feel obliged to choose any particular fund over leaving my pension where it was.

Yes. My investment has grown in value despite difficult trading circumstances, I have more confidence now in my retirement plans than I have at any time on the past.

Giles combined 2 of my personal pensions into a new single product, we also switched varies cash ISA's I had into a single stocks & shares ISA linked to same fund as my pension in a wrapper. 1 of my pensions we left where it was as it was an old company scheme.

I have everything in place where I wanted them and can view how they progress. It's only been in position for a few months so fingers crossed over the period of time i'm looking at having them in the fund I have they will increase in value as hoped?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Looming retirement and a fragmented basket of final salary schemes, ISA's and other savings and investments.

How has Giles Warren helped you?

Giles arranged the consolidation of older final salary schemes into a SIPP and used a specialist advisor to perform due diligence. He also consolidated savings and ISA's into a stocks and shares ISA that is performing better.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. The current investment portfolio is performing well despite current market conditions.

What could they have done better?

I left it late to appoint a financial advisor and some of the pension pot transfers were time limited and needed immediate action. Due diligence was carried out and transfers took place at the last possible moment. I have no regrets regarding the choice of my advisor and the performance of my portfolio.

A mortgage and then more recently a loan for home improvements

The first time he patiently reviewed our financial situation and talked us through the benefits of an Offset Mortgage at an impressively low interest rate... far better than anything I would have sourced myself, even if I had the time with a young family to care for. On the second occasion we were looking for a loan for some home improvements and again Giles took the time to understand our current finances, make a recommendation and deal with the admin of securing it.

Had a sum of money which I needed advice on how to invest including pension advice.

How has Giles Warren helped you?

Giles' advice was to invest in a portfolio which is tax efficient with the end goal to grow in value until I retire.

Yes my portfolio has grown and am pleased with the outcome although the recent market fluctuations due to the COVID 19 pandemic have seen my investments drop back. However Giles had a very calming effect and his advice not to panic and ride the storm was the correct one as my investments continue to bounce back. Very pleased with this outcome.

What could they have done better?

Giles is definitely an expert in his field and I initially found my self a bit overwhelmed with all the information received during the first couple of meetings.

Yes, there have been fluctuations as we expected but by and large the results have been good.

What could they have done better?

Like all professional people who know their subject inside out it is very easy for Giles to assume that every one can keep up with the pace of his explanations or the depth of his knowledge. We do try, but can feel a little lost on occasion. On the whole though Giles is very good in the way he explains quite complicated information, and always backs up our annual meetings with extensive and detailed literature.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was nearing retirement and wanted to consolidate my pensions and various savings so as to deal with one person and not a number of other Companies.

How has Giles Warren helped you?

I actually found Giles Warren on the vouchedfor website and am so pleased I made contact with him. Over a couple of meetings Giles explained to me Pensions in layman terms and so made it easier for me to understand this minefield. I had a final salaried pension which I wanted to keep intact but also had several other pensions with various Providers which I wanted to amalgamate into one Provider so as to make it easier to handle and this is where Giles came in. He took time to explain to me how annuities and drawdown pensions worked and the various pitfalls and advantages that could be encountered on the way. Until I met Giles I was thinking to try all this myself but I am so happy I involved Giles as he has got me a far better deal than I could have hoped for doing it myself. Giles also helped me with the best way forward with my savings and again this is better than I could have done myself. I also have online access to see how my investments are proceeding.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It's early days yet as only started a few months ago but there are good signs from looking at the investments on line.

What could they have done better?

I can't fault Giles with his approach. He answered my questions in such a manner that it made it easy for me to understand the financial world to what I had previously known.

We used Giles Warren Financial to help us with our overall Financial Planning. We both had numerous pensions all over the place with different providers, which was really hard to track and we had no idea what they would really give us in retirement. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as an honest, efficient and trustworthy IFA.

They helped us consolidate them into their stream lined investment process and we can now view them all online if we want too. We also wanted to invest more money for our future savings, so they helped us set up our ISA's at the same time.
