What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
For years I had buried my head in the sand when it came to my personal finances and it used to keep me awake at night. Approaching 50 years old was a wake up call that I really needed to engage a professional to help me and my family.
How has Ian Howe helped you?
Ian has helped me to understand the full picture of my current financial position and, just as importantly, has shaped a clear and realistic plan to ensure financial stability going forward. He asked questions that meant my husband and I really thought hard about what our priorities are now and in the future. From a practical perspective he has advised us on protection to ensure that we are appropriately covered should the worst happen, on investments & pensions to ensure that our money is working hard for us and on a long term plan to help realise the financial future that we would like and can afford.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes - I wasn't joking when I told Ian that I now sleep better at night because of him! This is the first time in my life that feel in control of my finances as a result of understanding what it will take to shape the future that we are looking for.
