Mark and his team brokered a re-mortgage for me. Then he assisted me by organising multiple pension schemes into just two different schemes that worked very well. Mark also helped by sorting a suitable life insurance policy.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

It was 2014 and had was thinking about my job at St Johns was worried as to how I would go about collating what little savings I had, Ardent and especially Mark Fisher helped me considerable to put together my Pension Pot and I have always has absolute confidence in them .

How has Mark Fisher helped you?

First of all I was treated with respect-what Mark was able to do was to explain how things would work for me what my money would be doing and how to access it should I need to ! I have been able to access money from my little pot to help my daughter with getting a new bathroom and having her little cottage rendered and redecorated this would have been impossible for me to do had it not been for Marks help and advice-I am sure he deals with other clients who have considerable amounts of savings yet he always manages to make my little enquiries important and personal and for this I am really grateful and its the sign of not only a highly professional man but also a man who can deal with you in a very personal manner and for this I am extremely grateful-nothing and I mean nothing was to much for Mark and it shows in his attention to detail.

We had used an independent financial advisor who left the country. We searched for a local adviser and after much research and meetings with other local advisors we felt Mark was open and friendly and easy to relate to and accessible. We have had many meetings and he is always ready to discuss our issues.

He has consolidated pensions and investments and gives us regular reports in very thorough meetings. He is contactable through a secure customer portal and will phone directly if there is something urgent to deal with.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

When I was given responsibility for my mothers finances after my father passed away, I was unsure what to do for the best. The Building society she was with at the time didn’t offer any helpful advice and just wanted me to leave her savings in an isa. I mentioned this to a family friend and after a telephone call and a chat with my mother we had a visit from Marks predecessor. Mum decided to invest all her savings with Ardent Financial - as long as I thought it was for the best. Mum could relax in the knowledge that I didn’t have to worry about her and when the time came for her to be cared for. After she passed away my sisters were so pleased with our inheritance as it had increased in value far more than we expected.

How has Mark Fisher helped you?

I was introduced to Mark when his predecessor retired. By this time my husband had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and I was confident that Mark would take good care of our finances. I had some inheritance and my husband retired early with a good pension. Mark has always been very friendly, approachable, easy to talk to and helpful especially as I often need things explaining twice!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

When I get regular notifications and reviews from Mark, I am so pleased with his advice, the way he is handling my investments and often surprised at the increase in our savings. I wish I had found Ardent sooner. I know I made the right decision, at the right time.

I dont think there is anything! I just know I can enjoy life in my retirement and leave our children with a bit of inheritance too.

When my husband was in care we initially looked for financing this but on his swift demise before arrangements could be made, I decided to continue with the Financial Firm has they had been so understanding of my situation. My husband had previously made all the financial decisions and trusted the firm so I decided to do the same and have been pleased with that decision.

How has Mark Fisher helped you?

Since Mark took over advising me, he has assisted me in arranging for a regular income from my savings whilst advising me how to invest in a beneficial way which will enable me to continue to live at the same standard of living and also be able to leave an inheritance to my children as long as I don't need full-time care for a long time.

Yes, I have received my regular income and my investments have not deteriorated too much despite the financial world conditions at the moment.

Despite having problems logging onto the website using extra levels of protection, this was explained and I now manage this ok. I did find this difficult at first.

My husband and I wanted to move our savings into ethical investments. Also, my husband was diagnosed with a terminal cancer which was classified as an industrial injury. This involved litigation. A successful litigation claim would result in compensatory payment which would require investment advice.

How has Mark Fisher helped you?

His advice was offered so clearly and sensitively. We felt we were in safe and compassionate hands. Transference of some of our savings into ethical investments was a painless exercise for my husband and I. Mark also helped us prepare for the future when ultimately my husband would die.

Definitely. The ethical investment made an excellent return within the first year. Also, upon my husband's death, his charting of how my new financial status would pan out over a number of years was reassuring. Similarly, Mark also advised me later regarding gifting money to my family members following the subsequent litigation payout.
