The service provided by Chirag and Vicky was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. At the outset, Chirag took the time to fully understand our needs and circumstances in relation to selling our flat and buying a new house with a new mortgage. It may be a bit time consuming to fill out all the fact-finding information and provide financial details, but it is absolutely worth it. Chirag provided us with a fully bespoke service and tailored recommendations to help us choose the ideal mortgage product for our circumstances. We spoke a number of times on the phone and then many times over email during the process and after completion - no question was too much and his advice was always delivered promptly and concisely. Ultimately this meant we could actually afford a more expensive home than we initially thought. On top of this, Chirag is professional, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak to. We never would have received this level of service and product from a high street lender or "free" broker. I would use Chirag again without question and thoroughly recommend using his services.

I was a 'hard-to-place' aspiring home owner, returning to the property market after the global financial crisis.

How has Chirag Patel helped you?

Against all the odds Chirag found me a suitable mortgage, helped me through the application process, then bore with me for the best part of two years while I searched for a suitable property to match it. Later, when my fixed rate came to an end he encouraged me in good time , and against my own inclination, to shop around for a replacement rather than waiting (in vain as it turned out!) for a new offer from my existing bank. I completed my remortgage in mid-2022 just as interest rates started to climb.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

After a long property search, we finally found the right house for our next move. Our offer was accepted, and we need to acquire a mortgage in principle letter quickly in order to secure the agreed purchase price. Although we had a substantial deposit, we still required a mortgage and were unsure how much we could borrow.

How has Chirag Patel helped you?

We have not purchased a property for over 15 years and Chirag made an otherwise stressful process very easy. He understood our total situation, considering all the options available and provide us with excellent advice, guiding us throughout the process and answered our many questions. He ensured that we balanced our finances so as not to over stretch ourselves and that we could purchase our next home, even when he purchase price increased due to changes in circumstances, Chirag was calm and informative on what our options were. Chirag instilled confidence with an initial chat, and provided a portal for us to input the details that he needed to find us the best deal. As we needed to remortgage on a single income we faced a shortfall that might have seen us unable to secure a special rate and have to accept a punitive Standard Variable Rate. Chirag however was able to find us an extremely competitive special rate and work with our challenges to a successful outcome.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, we definitely have had a great outcome thanks to Chirag. We have been able to secure a great special rate and not have to liquidate assets to make up the shortfall in order to reach that outcome.

What could they have done better?

I'm not sure what Chirag or Vicky could have done better to be honest - their communication was always friendly, concise and timely - and ultimately we feel we got the best possible result for our circumstances. Perhaps the data entry categories on the portal did not always quite match our details, but that's pretty normal for software in my experience, and Chirag encouraged us to send any 'misfit' information to him and Vicky directly as needed.
